Free online file tools — no uploads, your files never leave your browser
Every tool in this group decodes with your browser's own audio engine and writes uncompressed RIFF/WAVE PCM with JavaScript — no server, no queue, no file stored anywhere but your disk. Because nothing is uploaded, there is no size ceiling someone else set, and no copy of your recording sitting on a machine you do not control.
Two honest limits are worth knowing before you start. First, these tools decode whatever your browser can decode, so a DRM-protected file or one carrying an unusual codec will report failure rather than produce silence. Second, conversion from a lossy format does not restore quality: the WAV is uncompressed, which stops further damage, but it cannot recover data the original encoder discarded. For lossless sources — FLAC, ALAC, or an original WAV — that concern does not apply.
